What you get

Note velocity is estimated from the loudness of each note. It is a starting point, not a performance capture.
How this audio to MIDI conversion works
- Your file is decoded by your own browser. It is never sent anywhere.
- The audio is analysed frame by frame to estimate pitch and loudness.
- Frames that hold the same pitch are grouped into notes.
- Notes are written out as a MIDI file you download directly.
Limits you should know
- Monophonic mode tracks one pitch at a time. It is meant for a single clear line — a voice, a whistle, a solo instrument. Chords will come out as a single moving pitch.
- Polyphonic mode looks for several spectral peaks at once. On clear, separated parts it returns chords. On dense mixes it will also return extra notes that are not really there — shorten the file or lower the sensitivity to clean it up.
- Long files take longer to analyse, because the work is done on your own CPU rather than on a server.
- Format support depends on your browser's own decoder. If a file will not open here, try converting it to WAV first.

Is my audio uploaded?
No. There is no upload endpoint. The page reads the file into memory in your browser and processes it there.
Do I need to install anything?
No. It runs on the web platform already built into your browser.
What file do I get?
A Standard MIDI file. MIDI stores notes, not sound, so you can change the instrument, transpose it, or edit individual notes once it is in your DAW.
Why does the result change when I move the sensitivity slider?
You are changing the threshold at which a frame counts as a sung or played note. Higher sensitivity keeps more, quieter material; lower sensitivity keeps only the strongest.
